Art At Home
Dear Boltz students and parents,
I hope that you are all doing okay during these challenging times. Please know that I am thinking about all of my students and missing our daily art routines. Students may feel worried about transitioning to online school. This is a new challenge for students and teachers, but we are all in this together and it will be a learning process. I will always be available through email or Microsoft Teams to help answer any questions you may have.
I have created weekly mini art lessons for students that you should be able to do at home, even if you don’t have many art supplies. Every Monday I will send an email with instructions and attachments for the art lesson that week. Please complete the lesson and email me a photo of your artwork by Friday afternoon. If for whatever reason you cannot complete the art lesson for the week please let me know, so that we can work together to figure something out. If you have questions or need guidance, send me an email at [email protected] and I will help in any way I can. Expectations may change as time goes on, but we will start with this weekly routine for now.
I have specifically designed the activities to be calming, easily doable at home with limited supplies, as well as interactive so that you can have fun doing them with parents or siblings. If you would like even more art activities, videos, project ideas, etc. please let me know! I have listed a bunch below on this page as well- even my very first youtube video! I would love to give you even more resources to continue exploring your art practice at home. Remember that art takes practice and that this time could be an amazing opportunity to continue growing your art skills and creative thinking skills.
I wish you all good health and we will get through this difficult time together.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Emami

Steps for Doing Art Class at Home:
- Every Monday, check this website/your email for the weekly art lesson. The email will send you a link to this website where all the weekly projects will be.
- Gather the needed supplies from around your house and set up your work area. The kitchen table will work great! Remember to ask adults permission before you begin gathering supplies!
- Follow the directions provided in the email. You have all week to complete your project so take your time and give it your best effort! You can spend a little bit of time each day, or do it all at once. It’s up to you!
- On Friday, send me an email at [email protected] to tell me how it went and a photo of your artwork.
